College Roomate Reunion
Last weekend we went up to KY lake again to get together with my college roomates and their kids. We always have a blast everytime we go and there is never a dull moment. We hung out all day on Saturday and watched the kids play together and then went out for a Mexican dinner on Saturday night. After the kids went to sleep, we had tons of laughs while playing Catch Phrase and Spot it! I miss these girls so much, I wish we could see each other more often, but I love the time we get to spend together every 6 months at the lakehouse!

10 months old!
Ava is already 10 months old, I can't believe that in a two short months my little baby is going to be 1 year old! This past year has flown by, but I love watching my little Ava grow and develop into a precious little girl. She learns something new every day and I love being able to be there with her every step of the way.
At 10 months, she is standing up on her own for minutes at a time. Although she has taken a step and attempted to walk, she is not quite there yet. She is getting very close, and I'm sure it's only a matter of time before she figures out how to walk.
She still loves her bath time and still hates her car seat. She is still sleeping very well at night, she goes to bed no later than 8:30 and wakes up around 7:30 each morning with the wildest hair!
She whines when she is trying to get my attention or tell me what she wants since she can't talk yet. Although she can say "DADADADADA" all day long, she has not specifically called Gabe by "DADA". She loves being rocked before bed time and she loves when you sing to her. She will actually sit still and listen if you sing to her. Any other time, she will not sit still. She is very active, always wiggling, and never stops. She can clap and wave for you if she is in a good mood.
She is not a very good napper, she is always afraid she is going to miss a beat, therefore her naps are more like 30 minutes x twice a day. If I am lucky, she will sleep a little over an hour during the day, but most of the time when she is with me, this does not happen.
She will eat ANYTHING, I think. She is very curious, so anytime I am eating a meal, she wants whatever I am having and will crawl right over to me and just look at me until I feed her. She will always open her mouth when I have a spoonful of food for her. There are only a few things she has found that she does not like, but for the most part, she is not a picky eater lik her momma! Our biggest challege has been trying to conquer the sippy cup. She loves her bottle, so I am struggling with the transition to her sippy cup. I am just hoping that one of these day she will figure it out and will start trying something other than her bottle.
She still only has her two bottom teeth that came in at 6 1/2 months old. I am expecting the top two teeth to break through any day now.

Ava's favorite character is a chicken named Chica that comes on the Sprout Channel. She has loved this little puppet since she was very little and still gets a kick out of it every time it comes on T.V. Gabe thought it would be funny to get his Halloween chicken costume down from the attic and wear it around the house. Needless to say, Ava did not want to have anything to do with Gabe and his chicken costume. You can tell by her expression in these pictures, she wasn't sure what to think.

Funniest Video Ever!
I couldn't wait to post this video! Poor little Ava was so tired last night, she fell asleep in the middle of her dinner. I think this is the cutest and funniest video I have ever seen, of course, I am not bias or anything! Some pictures of her past out asleep in her high chair and then the video to follow.
